del.icio.us and Gmail

:sun I came across a site (by browsing del.icio.us) that has a python based script to automatically email your del.icio.us bookmarks to gmail. This is very cool, not only can you can backup your bookmarks to gmail, but also because it emails the bookmarked page itself. Then using the fantastic search facility you can search the contents of that (or any) page for specific words and get results in under a second.

With nearly 600MB of data already on my gmail account, it’s really becoming an invaluable tool. On-demand knowledge.

Blog Spam

:tongue Finally, after over 2 months of hourly comment spam attacks, it seems that the spammers have finally giving up. This is mainly due to the excellent MT-Blacklist plugin for Movable Type. I had to enforce some strict settings, which may result in real comments from being blocked, but it has made a huge difference.
