Portable XP on a USB Thumb-Drive

• MojoPac – Portable XP

  Interesting distribution that basically puts Win XP (lite) onto an external disk and runs it like a VM on a PC.   Although I can’t get it to run on my work HP Notebook (works fine on a bunch of other machines)

Firefox Extension that maps a Network folder to Gmail

This extension rocks.  Effectively turns firefox into an ftp style client to your Gmail accounts.  Very slick.

Synchronising Outlook with Google Calendar

This sort of works, although nowhere near as automated and seemless as you’d want.  Install Funambol client > setup an account with ScheduleWorld > sync Outlook with ScheduleWorld using Funambol > setup ScheduleWorld to sync with Google Calendar > finally, remember to login to ScheduleWorld every now and again and click the google sync link.

There has to be a better way.

Xtorrent – Mac torrent client

  A nice and clean Mac torrent client.  Has a built in torrent search that check google, piratebay, and torrentspy (but you can easily add to the list).  Dock icon displays download rates, so you can keep an eye on how fast that linux distro is coming down.
